Tailgate lettering - black with red outline?

Anyone try the black with red out line on ruby red truck. Pic or photoshop please thinking about it would like to see what it looks like on truck Thanks

Do you have a link? If it's like I'm picturing, I'd be worried about the red outline getting lost against a red truck, so you'd end up with, functionally, just slightly smaller black letters.

I am thinking the same thing as the previous post...re outline around the letters would blend in with the RR of your truck.

I added a pic of my Desert Sand tailgate for illustrative purposes only...the black letters and subtle red outline contrast nicely with the DS background.

In my minds eye, I think black would contrast nicely so you might want to look at an alternate letter outline trim colour, if available, or maybe just go with black?

Or maybe a white outline around the black letters that would draw off the Ford White lettering?

Anyways, just a thought.

A site like picsart.com (or many others) will let you try out any combination you imagine, not that everything is available.
As others have noted, I'd think the red outline would disappear, so it would just look like black...

Not a red truck but black with the red outline and black lettering.

Not the red outlines lettering but ruby red with black. Like other posters I was worried the red outline would either no match the red paint or if it did match would just make the black letters smaller. And with all things cars - the best decision is the one you like best.

Congrat's on your new truck purchase!

I am pretty sure we ordered them from Etsy.ca or less likely, Amazon.ca.

They weren't expensive, about 40 or 50 dollars if we recall correctly (I checked with my long-haired Sgt-Major).

The letters are raised, so they have a nice dimensional look to them with the thin red outline...subtle but noticeable.

I hope you can track something down that strikes your fancy,

You can buy them direct thru Ford. Also check if you have Ford reward points from the truck purchase. I was able to buy a bunch of accessories with the points

It seemed like they were a lot cheaper back in 2020 when I got some for my Ranger. Oh 6 letters versus 8 letters. I need to get them for my Ruby Red Maverick now. I was thinking about the black with red outline? I think solid black is the way to go however. Just my two cents worth.
