  1. Marking My First Year Ownership

PS I've noticed there aren't many Lobos around though! Guess that makes us "unique".
  2. Marking My First Year Ownership

I got it from the Ford site itself as an accessory. I had some points to use so it ran me about $90, give or take. Of note, it's not a smooth surface but textured IF that should matter to you. Glad I got it because the other day on the highway an 18 wheeler kicked a stone at me and it hit HARD...
  3. Marking My First Year Ownership

    Hope you'll post some pix!
  4. What Gets Dirty First in Your Maverick?

Noticed you're fairly new member - welcome! Very nice truck!
  5. Marking My First Year Ownership

Thanks! I was initially drawn to it like a moth to flame when first seeing one on the lot. And while initially I was looking at several XLT's parked next to it, I found myself regularly returning to it thinking that it was one sharp looking, sporty little truck. Given the combination of color...
  6. Black 2026 XL Build, so far...

Thanks for sharing. So far you've done a great job of updating a plain-Jane looking truck and making it look sharp! The most striking mods I find are both the high-gloss outside mirror caps and the wheels - of the two rims Ford puts on these trucks I dislike the most include those steel wheels...
  7. Ford Crossbars as a divider

I like to use my Harbor Freight support bar (https://www.harborfreight.com/2-in-1-support-cargo-bar-66172.html) - better when you can get one of the frequent HF coupons.
  8. Marking My First Year Ownership

Exactly one year to the day I took delivery of my '25 Lobo and am very happy with it. As expected, it's been trouble free - with the exception of last winter when I drove into my snowblower whilst clearing the drive (oh well - senior moment 🤬). Just glad it happened to MY vehicle and NOT the...
  9. What do you guys think about this Everstart MAXX battery?

My experience with Everstart Maxx batteries here in New England has been positive. Have used a total of 3 over the years in my Subaru's - no issues. And FWIW, the brand tends to score well in Consumer Reports.
  10. New tip for Maverick owners

I like the feature; is similar to what I had in my Subaru. As I do much of my own maintenance, I seemed to notice on the Subaru with frequent use of that feature, rear brakes needed to be replaced sooner. Not a biggie but just a mental FYI. Don't know if that'll be the same when it comes time...
  11. Ford Among Cheapest Brands To Insure For 2026....🤥

I HEAR you! I too was a long-time policyholder (30+) years with them and rarely any claims. They've more than made their profit off of me. But a few years back when they really jacked up my homeowners and I couldn't really get it back to a reasonable rate, compounded by the large increase in...
  12. Buy parts cheaper?

I tend to gravitate towards eBay - all buy it now and best offer only; I rarely ever bother with bids. Often finding the prices lower than Amazon.
  13. 2024 Lariat Tremor HPR

Almost like in a Mad Max kind of way. :)
  14. 2024 Lariat Tremor HPR

Got the same one; wanted the 3" but accidentally ordered the 1". I like it better! We got good taste.
  15. Spied this low rider in the wild

Looks like a cop truck. It's got a cop motor, ..., it's got cop tires, cop suspensions, cop shocks.
  16. Hankook Kinergy PT H737 Tires: 90,000-Mile Warranty

Had these on my Subaru - they were excellent in all seasons.
  17. Drive it like you Stole it.

Yeah - had a guy driving a Ram pickup who claimed I had "cut him off" at the stop light we both were in (no such thing). Wasn't aware of it until a few miles down the road I was filling up that he pulled into the parking lot and was calling me a "kahk s-uh-ker" for cutting him off. (Old dude...
  18. Drive it like you Stole it.

To quote Johnny Carson, "I did not know that!" I'm going to start driving mine more often in Sport - best of both worlds! (From a former Subaru owner.)
  19. Sunroof Option

I'm with you. I've had many cars with a sunroof and found over time I rarely use it - let alone have the sunshade open because it could get bit too hot. There were two Lobo's at different dealerships I was considering with one having the moonroof option. Wife encouraged I buy it but frankly...
