I put black Tuffskinz letters on a couple years ago.
After seeing a few people put matching body color letters on their tails I wished I had done that instead.

So, I changed them. I like the look, it’s more subtle and, I think, a bit more upscale.

Flat light today, not the best for pictures.

I like MAVERICK instead of MAVERICK

The more I see “Look at me” tailgate letters on anything, be it a Tacoma, Ram, F-150, whatever, the less I like the look, especially wild colors and patterns. We know what you have, we get it, good for you.

Unfortunately, the letter size on the Mav tailgate is pretty large, the black letters really shouted at me after a while.

Although I enjoy classy customization touches on vehicles, over emphasizing the make/model lettering on pickup tails isn’t one of them.

The plain, stamped lettering on most pickups is pretty plain though. The matching color inserts give a 3D look which I like better. That’s what I was going for.

I also like the 3D look, but provided by just the stamped lettering. I don't think it's really that plain, but also don't need to announce my model boldly. So far, I'm content to just leave it factory. I may eventually change it some way just to get a different look, but for now it's fine and it may keep some people wondering what it is still.

Not a fan of the colored letters on the tailgate, I wish it didn't have the name stamped in it at all.

With that said the matching color looks better than black on your white truck.

I see people putting Toyota Camry badges on their Teslas now.

What you see is the backing and the shadow off the paint I think.

I tend to agree. I wish someone would make a sticky panel that simply filled in the lettering across the tailgate.

When I got my truck, early 2023, people still didn’t know what it was. I got a lot of questions at stoplights and parking lots which is partly why I decided to add the black letters.

Those days are gone.

I like the stealthier matching color raised letters now. They arent as noticeable until you get closer to the vehicle.

I went with raised black lettering, to match the black flares, black tires and rims, black tonneau, black bumpers and black hood protector. The interplay between black and white is pretty classy.

Agree, which is why I factory tinted the driver/pass windows as well.

I put simple, raised black letters on my Oxford white tailgate. I like the look and I believe it helps the driver behind me "notice" my vehicle and helps their depth perception in traffic. Just my unscientific observation.

I was curious about doing [color matched] VB letters on my VB Lobo.
I'm glad you did this, so I could get an idea.
I like your white Ford ovals.

I sorta like the black-on-white letters personally. BUT, I also get that they can and do look too 'shouty' or bold as well. So can understand the attempt to make it more subtle.

I'm hoping my Forged CF letters turn out OK on my VB.
I've had a very hard time finding Forged CF letters on ANY pickup, especially Mavericks.

I also didn't want quite as much pop and shout as the Black letters provide.
