So I have a problem. I could have sworn I was a technique for adjusting the tailgate to the second height available (the one higher than the wheel wells), but I guess I must have dreamt it up.
I'm going to build a tool box to the height of the higher of the two locations to hold all my construction tools (the wheel well height wont cut it) and I need the tailgate to stop at that location so that I can still carry some lumber in the remaining 6 or so inches I will have left under my tonneau cover.
My question is: Am I missing the the technique to make that adjustment, or am I on my own to design a cable apparatus to put a bend (I'm thinking an S shape) in the cable to get tailgate to line up with the higher location?
I have attached pictures showing the first height that the cables stop at now, and a picture of where I need it to stop.
BTW: this model of air compressor works fine with the 400 watts avaliable from the inverter.
