Tail Light Popping Out

The left tail light on my Maverick has been popping out in the past few days. Every time I push it in, it just comes back out after a drive.

Has anyone encountered this problem as well? Maybe it's because of the hot weather?

Could be that it was misaligned a bit when it was installed. Pretty easy to remove it to check. Or you could take it to the dealer.

I just took it off and put it back in, hopefully this would fix it.

Have you removed the hardware to take it out and snap it back in firmly yet? When I installed LEDs, I had to firmly push in til I heard a snap. There are a couple youtube videos of folks showing how to remove and reinstall when they replaced their bulbs. 2randomscrubbs...

I didn't hear a snap, but I could feel an indent when I pushed it back in. Maybe that's the problem.

I just took it off and put it back in, hopefully this would fix it.

I replaced all the rear bulbs with LEDs and that happened. SO I had to reinstall them both and they sit flush, if it pops out before securing with bolts, just lightly push it back in and hold it while securing the bolts. Then you will notice it sits flush.

Note: make sure the connector is clipped onto the rear tail light or it won't sit flush. Found this out while reinstalling them.

Yup it seems okay now. I had to push on the assembly while screwing it back on.

Noticed today that my driver side light is popping out. I pushed it back in twice but after a short drive it popped out again. Calling a dealer tomorrow to get it fixed,

I heard that before.. you're not the first.. poor housing general. design. I think ford is aware of the problem.. probably an hidden fix in the 2023-24

Went to the dealer and showed the Service Advisor, he said no one has reported that issue yet and its definetly odd. Bringing it in on the 6th to get looked at and fixed.

Happened to me. It's the cheap plastic fasteners. They'll. Replace them

I took a look at it today, it seems like its the white fastener's that are the issue. I popped it back in today and wiggled it a bit and it popped right back out. It never made the "clicking" noise I seen reported on here when its in properly.

Appointment is tomorrow.

I took out my rear tail light. The next day my neighbor told me they were stealing rear tail lights. I went to look at my lights and the left rear was popped out. I put it back in thinking someone wanted to steal my rear tail lights.
Now I know, it just popped out.
