Anyone regret installing the Downpipe?

finally going to get around to installing these parts and wondering if the Downpipe is worth the work?

I'll be installing in my garage with full tools and have done several manifold swaps on my trucks, but didn't realize how tight this engine was.
2023 XLT AWD eco.

the intake and intercooler are definitely going on next week.

No real regret. The truck definitely felt quick when I had it tuned for the down pipe, but the stock turbo runs out of steam quick.

I ran a 3” catback as well and wish I would have either kept oem or waited to hear some other catbacks. The drone was rough. I ended up adding a resonator and additional muffler.

Got the Downpipe installed by a reputable tuner shop. Loaded the base tune from Panda.

40 miles later and throwing a 0420 catalyst code.

Any ideas?

I would cotact Panda and ask them why this happened. May need colder/hotter plugs depending on the tune or a different O2 sensor (but what bank would be the question).

The problem with replacing your downpipe is the converter. Your factory converter has to pass EPA requirements, and must have enough Platinum metal group to last 8 years. Third party converters, if they're even EPA approved only need enough Platinum metal group to last 2-3 years. If they're not EPA approved they could last a week. Stainless works for example says their converter is EPA compliant, if they're being honest it means best case scenario, that converter will last two to three years. You are giving away 5 years of platinum/rhodium/palladium by replacing your downpipe. And no matter what anyone says or what a salesman tells you there are no third-party converters that are loaded to factory specs to last 8 years, they do not exist. So have fun with your P0420 codes insufficient catalyst. It may be a week, a year or 3 years, but it's coming. And never mind the fact that you're giving away your secondary unmonitored converter.
