Survived the worst hailstorm in my life

Video starts with me parked under a tree, on the wrong side of the road. It's a very less traveled road so I felt I was fine.
I started moving again and it got worse so I pulled off the side of the road as did a couple of drivers. Decided to get going again but saw brake lights up ahead. I said nope, and turned back around. The whole time I was praying not for my safety but for my Mav, specifically for my windshield. Happy to say we both made it okay. No dimples or cracked windshield.

We were in this one last weekend while attending the Carlisle Ford event. Lasted about 7 minutes. Tree fell on a car two cars in front of us. Did get some hail damage ,hoping to get most removed.

I'm always checking the weather if the day looks iffy. I don't want another vehicle to be caught in hail. Had one about 12-13 years ago and it was a pain with all the dents.

I was going to say.... lol Colorado is the Hail capital of the world. I think we have had hail storms just about every day for the past few weeks now. I have a few dimples from getting hit with some quarter size hail a few weeks ago, every time we get severe thunder storm warnings I rush to get the truck in the garage.

Last night we had a storm that dumped a bunch of half dollar and larger hail just a mile from us.

Glad you and your Maverick made it. I was going to say the same thing. If that's the worst, you need to hang out in the Midwest for a few years. We've had baseball-sized hit our house -- twice in the past 15 years. We've also had lightning strike at or very near our house twice (took out most electronics). A small twister demolished our shed once. Yes -- we need to move! Our house is targeted. Kansas has some wonderful weather.

I used to lead bikers on motorcycle rides here in PA. Once while we were in a restaurant eating our lunch a hail storm, about like the O.P. put up, hit our area. I have a Honda ST1100 to which I added some fog lights on the forks. There is a rocker switch on the fairing and didn't those little balls of ice turn those lights on. I thought about running outside to turn them off, but Mother Nature did it for me. Within two minutes another lucky hit turned them off. We were lucky because no one had any damage and we were not caught while riding. The hail intensified farther east and we could see damage to vehicles and siding on houses as we continued our ride.
