As you should be. I would be too. I'm thinking seriously of either getting rid of my Maverick when the warranty expires or buying the extended warranty. All this electronic whiz magic is nice but only when it works. Things can go south in a hurry and when they do the one guarantee is that it will be expensive as hell. As you well know. The way vehicles are now, I think for us it would be best just to lease every three years given how little we drive. I dunno.
The saga continues!! I was able to get only about 200 miles on the truck before the same problem reoccurred!! Ford told me that the replacement parts are covered by a 2 year unlimited mileage warranty. I really need to have a dependable truck!! Has anyone else been in this situation? I could use some wisdom for dealing with this right now.

So a bad dealer diagnosis as to original problem?

Was that really the issue then, and if not should you have to pay for repair on bad diagnosis?
While troubleshooting guides may have pointed to that part, was there really no way to confirm it electrically before pulling it all to get to it?
Might be time to call Ford directly to get a case on it.

I also don't see how hybrid transmission, where parking is done, isn't part of the longer warranty.

Shoot - shops will do that before taking an alternator or starter out - talk about much easier to get to.

Mercy, sounds like a mess. So if they said the replacement parts are covered, what about the labor charges? It's going to have to get fixed one way or the other but if it were me I would be finding something else. Hope they get it going for you soon.
