Still taking orders for the 2025 Maverick?

Today I talked to a sales woman at my local Ford dealer. She said they were still taking orders for the 2025 Maverick.
I was surprised to hear this. I had read somewhere that 2025 orders were closed. Maybe it depends on the dealer?

She said if I ordered now it would take between 3 to 5 months before it arrived. If I order it I can get it in my favorite
color, Desert Sand.

If it's your favorite color then you should go ahead and order one

Worst thing that could happen would be that the other gets cancelled, but the more you wait the lower the odds you'll get it

In the US, order banks are open for 26 Mavericks. Order banks are closed for 25s.

We have some 25s scheduled to be built in October. The 26s seem to start in November (or possible the very end of October).

Your dealer may be trying to fit you into a 25 that they already have scheduled?

It's possible she was mistaken about 2025 order banks being open.

Or maybe because it's one of the largest Ford dealers in the nation that allows
them to keep the 2025 order banks open.

Guess I need to go to the dealership in person to see what's going on.

Hasn't the 2026 "Brown" color been cancelled and they're waiting on an update of which color will replace it? Could be a variation on the desert sand / terrain etc beige color

Yesh, check with them. They are scheduling the 26s already.... so I can't see why Ford would be accepting 25s. (I do work at a Ford dealership and double-checked the ordering portal).

@ExpoGuy , I don't know what trim level or options you want, or how far you're willing to travel to buy a truck, but I believe there are '25 Desert Sand Mavericks available on dealer lots right now. Some priced $2,500 off MSRP. You won't get $2,500 off special ordering a Maverick I don't think.

I can't find any 2025 Desert Sand Tremors near me. Checked several Ford dealers.
All the dealers show $1k discount, nothing more. So either I order a 2025 in Desert Sand
or I go with another color.

Another option is a 2024 Lariat Tremor. My dealer shows it with $3k discount from the MSRP.
And they have one in Desert Sand. But it gets a little less mpg and has a smaller info display.

Much to think about.

Yesterday I visited my Ford dealer. The orders for the 2025 Maverick are closed. The sales woman I talked to on the phone was mistaken.

I looked at a Carbonized Gray 2025 Tremor and the color is alright. Still not my favorite, but nice.
The dealer also has several 2024 Maverick Lariat Tremors. They are listed at $3k below MSRP.
And they have one in my color choice. Salesman said he could "work with me" on the price and offer an attractive interest rate. This is very tempting, although I like the larger display and mpg
on the 2025.

Another truck on my radar screen is the 2025 Ranger Lariat. A bit larger than the Maverick and
about $10k more. The 2.3L engine has almost the same fuel economy as a 2024 Maverick Tremor.
I may rent the Ranger for the weekend and see how I like it. Much to think about!
