UNIX BBS was notorious for belittling.
"unix BBS" ???

I'm guessing that you mean the usenet, one of thpredecessors to what we call "internet"?

The term was "flaming". It was how order was kept in an utterly decentralized environment.

Inappropriate flaming would get the flamer flamed. It was rare, but if someone really got out of hand, a note to the site administrator would rather quickly bring someone in line.

The hard time came to be September, when the incoming freshman got access. Even that was successfully handled by the end of the month.

Right until AOL got connected, creating the Eternal September. Things never were the same after that . . .

It is now September 11563, 1993.

I’ve had my Marverick for three months and I still can’t figure out the climate control system.
I’m pretty convinced there’s a bug. Yup, I’m sure of it.
I agree the Climate Control Systems on these 2025's aren't the easiest thing to figure out. I usually set it on Auto for the Floor and Windshield and either set it on AC or Heat.:)

It would seem that on most forum sites there are trolls, cry babies, and the people who are generally interested in offering useful info and/or advice.
If one considers it, everyone that owns a Maverick does not have any problems beyond the Recall issues. When a real problem arises, Ford works on it. So I will laugh at the "Wah! Wahs", admire those who truly help, pity the trolls and bless the people with real advice.
My hat is off to those who take time to read the vehicle manuals. A monumental task in this day and age!
Having written all that, I will quote Zac Brown: 'Take it all in. It's a game you can't win. Enjoythe ride!'
GOD bless you all!

At this point in the video, he briefly touches on some of the aspects of the climate control as far as usage.
Not sure what you mean by figuring it out.
But perhaps this adds some tricks not noticed yet.

Later in video he get's into using the voice commands - to make it even easier.

in fairness, I have the advantage of having been there at the time.

Yeah, I was still on a party line for most of the Usenet/BBS era. Didn't have dedicated phone line availability until late in the game.

Yeah, I was still on a party line for most of the Usenet/BBS era.
There wasn't much dialup access to usenet until the eternal September. It was possible, but insanely pricey, with computserve, and I think a couple of others. Generally, you need to be at a university or a "connected" commercial site.

I use quotes as very few of the sites were actually on the arpanet backbone. Instead, the site would dial another site with a modem, typically daily, and in turn accept calls from other sites further off the backbone.

The backbone itself didn't have the capacity of today's home connections; this was a text medium . . .

Sending email to the main backbone sites was easy; you just sent it to [email protected]. But to go anywhere else, even if you were on the backbone, you needed the full path, something like schoolvax!ford.research!decvax!anotherschoolvax![email protected] .

And it could take days for your email to hop the country, as it transmitted in those same calls as usenet until (if) it it the backbone, which it would cross fairly quickly until it waited for the dialup call for the rest of it's journey.

In '94, I returned to school, and a friend and I were both amazed when he sent me an email, and my reply was back to him in minutes!
