I know this thread is almost a year old, but curious if this helped your radio reception or if you ever found anything that did.
Thanks
It didn’t work in my case. I do live in a bit of a bad reception area though, it seemed to get worse with the booster installed. It is also possible I installed it incorrectly or was faulty. Either way, not worth the effort for me to try again. I also tried the stubby antenna, same results, the reception was worse.

Boosters won't help fix a crappy antenna because they amplify both the radio signal and the noise. You need a longer antenna, preferably an over 15" or over 30" - whip antenna that cars used to come with. A lot fewer people listen to radio now, so auto designers dumped them for form over function.

The antenna thread size is M5x0.8. You might be able to find a longer aftermarket antenna.

Use a radio station app on your phone like "Simple Radio". There are a number of them out there

I bought the 2” stubby and lost more than half the reception I had with the stock. I like the stubby though, that’s why I’m trying the booster. We’ll see
Exactly the same here....I like the look of the stubby and never imagined that when installed I'd basically not be able to listen to any of the radio stations I currently listen to. With the factory antenna, I still have crappy reception but not as bad as the stubby!

Antenna design and receiver matching can be a complicated engineering task. Anything shorter than 1/4 wavelength is a tradeoff. Ideal dipole FM antenna length (at FM midband 97.5 MHz) would be around 2.4 ft. A 2 inch stubby is barely an antenna. It's all frequency dependent.
