Looking at your picture and based on your description of the interior, your truck does not have the black appearance package. It appears someone swapped the BAP wheels on, or maybe painted the originals. It also has aftermarket fender flares as well. Someone made some changes. Not a bad thing, just not what you thought. Hopefully you didn't pay extra for that though.Mine are the brown

people keep saying that, my 12yo Raptor went in as trade with the original stock crappy chrome cap lug nuts. each and every time the tires were rotated, every oil change, they were wrenched with an impact gun. torque stick to 90% and finished with a clicker.Ford's lug nuts have a chrome cap over them that create problems down the road as far as removal.the previous owner might have addressed that already and changed them.
No, aftermarket is not what I thought. Thanks.Looking at your picture and based on your description of the interior, your truck does not have the black appearance package. I actually haven't tried to remove the lug nuts. I'm just going by what other people with Fords have told me. I know a couple people that had to cut the Chrome covers off to get at the actual lug nuts because they get water behind them and swell apparently.people keep saying that, my 12yo Raptor went in as trade with the original stock crappy chrome cap lug nuts. each and every time the tires were rotated, every oil change, they were wrenched with an impact gun. torque stick to 90% and finished with a clicker.
Don't know what you were doing wrong.![]()
I personally don't have experience with the lug nuts however my brother-in-law had an issue ,he had to cut the Chrome covers off when he got a flat on his explorer. Apparently moisture gets behind the Chrome covers and swells and you are unable to remove them.people keep saying that, my 12yo Raptor went in as trade with the original stock crappy chrome cap lug nuts. each and every time the tires were rotated, every oil change, they were wrenched with an impact gun. torque stick to 90% and finished with a clicker.

My old Rap did many boat launches several stream crossings without one issue. does that count as off road lol.My 2003 Explorer sport trac in my profile pic still has the chrome covered lug nuts, never had a problem with them. Of course I never did any off-roading either.
My 2024 XLT with BAP has the chrome covered nuts.
Thought about going to the black lugs, but "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", at least not until I get the other mods paid for!![]()
+1 for non marring. You can grab a cheap set off Amazon or Harbor Freight and they will save your wheels (If you have those lug nuts).Crescent 1/2" X 18" breaker bar $20
Titan non-marring 22mm socket $12
