Spotted maverick with camo

Driving past the Allen Park Ford proving grounds today I spotted a Maverick in camo turning into the lot off Southfield. Now that the vehicle is released does any know why Ford would still have camo on test vehicles? Could it have been a 23?

I'm hoping for the new Maverick AWD FX4 Plug-In Hybrid RS.
That I made up just now.
I'm imaging a 2.3L twin-scroll turbo-four with a much larger HVB package.
And Recaros.
And it'll retail for exactly what I have in my wallet right now.

I'm really hoping for an AWD Hybrid, ala the Escape.

Could just be an early prototype that no one bothered to remove the tape. Happens often. Those type vehicles are parked in secured parking areas, sometime if you want to go somewhere you grab one.
Quite often they are a little more spartan inside.

Your most likely right. The new Ranger has a new front end that looks a lot like the Maverick.

I long for the days not too long ago when a Ford ST meant it had to have a manual tranny.

Something as nimble as the Maverick reportedly is would be fun with one.
