Let me ask you something further. Now I’ve talked to many different people about this vehicle. I’ve talked to people who are thin, those who are fit. I’ve talked to people who are grossly overweight. I’ve talked to people who were heavier than grossly overweight. For me I’m a little over average but I’m not thin and I’m not grossly overweight. The point is is this. More people than not who I have talked to have mentioned issues with their car. Various issues. All right some people have mentioned the seats. Some people have mentioned the sound quality. Some people have mentioned the drive. Some people have mentioned the stiff handling. Some people have mentioned the turning radius. I could go on. You have all seen my issues with the car. Now granted I feel like with my background of being a bodybuilder and developing injuries overtime that affect me to this day if a part of the car is exaggerating it don’t you think I would want to change that up to make sure that I am more comfortable in that car or change the vehicle itself? Do you think it would be a smart idea to ride in pain every day? Do you think it’s a smart idea that if a car is predominantly looking like it’s a $20,000 car with plastic everywhere that it’s something that would intrigue me long-term?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again the XL trim was a $20,000 value car that has been bumped up to $30,000.

Personally if I was in charge of the vehicle pricing the XL trim at most would be $22,000. That’s what I bought mine for but pricing nowadays it’s at 28,000. The hybrid version of the XL trim would go for $23,500. The XLT would go for 25,000. The hybrid version of the XLT would go for 26,500. The Lobo would go for 28,000 period the lariat would go for 30,000. The lariat hybrid would go for 31,000.

That’s what it should cost. There’s no reason that the lariat should cost you $40,000 plus. There’s no reason that the XL trim with a basic everything in mind you many other vehicles on their base trim have power mirrors things like that there’s no reason that it cost $28-$30,000

So You bought Your 2025 Maverick for $22,000 but nowadays the same 2025 Maverick like Yours would be $28,000?

I’m not playing victim at all Einstein. This entire post has nothing to do with me personally. But apparently some of you can’t read nor decipher meanings behind the post. Go read the original post. And no this was not me talking about the seats. Go read the other responses. It doesn’t take much effort to put one and one together. You can’t just turn around the conversation and say oh it’s about the seat seats. That’s not what this post was about. It’s not even in the subject line yet for some reason you guys love to turn it back that way and then turn it around and say hey look he’s writing another post about seat seats again. That’s what you guys do. That’s not what this post is about but that’s what you guys do

You have talked about the uncomfortable seats in the Maverick before. So it's You and the You Tuber Video guy against the guys in this thread who didn't agree with the Reviewer.

I thought he was pretty much 50/50, some things he over dramatized or didn't suit his standards. I didn't think it was that bad. Seems like he was trying to mimic Doug DeMuro in his delivery.

No. And I’ve made a mention about this before on this forum. The price of the car originally when I was in the market was $27,000 but since it wasn’t on the website but it was on the lot the dealership dealership gave me a deal at 22,000. I even posted the receipt. So as I had stated 27,000 is close to 28,000 which is close to 30,000. Well give or take a couple thousand

The vehicle has so much plastic it’s ridiculous. Next to no other substance. Thin padding. Shitty speakers (low wattage). No amplifier. Short seats that are nowhere near comfortable at all. Manual side mirrors. Seats only have the ability to go up down forward and backwards. It doesn’t tilt anywhere. There is no lumbar support. Doesn’t have a very good pick up in terms of when you accelerate it struggles to want to go faster. A 20k vehicle at most being charged near 30k.

The plastic is fine with me, no complaints so far on that.

I got the B&O sound system, best factory sound system I’ve ever had. Sound great to me, it’s not a Cadillac Escalade.

My fully adjustable lumbar and all seats are extremely comfy to me.

My side mirrors are fully adjustable remotely.

Acceleration/Pick up pretty much feels like a V-8. At least my Ecoboost does.

Struggles to go faster ? Hahahaha I have to use the cruise control or without knowing it I find myself north of 80 mph so fast I’m surprised I haven’t got a speeding ticket.

It sounds like you’ve never even driven a Maverick.

The comfort of the seats, I have noticed that it seems, appears the complaints about seats come from out of shape overweight desk jockey white collar guys who physically are often soft.
Everyone I’ve asked in person likes the seats just fine. But everyone I’ve asked is healthy and in decent shape.

You prolly should have picked the Ecoboost for the old school power feel.

Let me ask you a question. Do you honestly think I would’ve joined this forum if I never had the vehicle? Do you think I would’ve made posts about frustrations or about videos that I’ve seen that I’ve stated it’s weaknesses if I never owned the vehicle?

I find it hilarious though how you always jump back to weight. I have told you before I’m not a larger individual if you know what I mean, but I’ve also told you that I am not fit. I’m average maybe a little bit over average but not a whale. I don’t spill over the seats if that also makes sense. And I have said this before on this thread and I will continue to reiterate this thread is not about seats. It never has been it never will be and it never was. I don’t know why we keep trying to deviate back to that topic when it’s not what the conversation was about in the first place. Now as a sideboard you decided to bring up the fact that people you’ve talked to all think the seats are good. One of my neighbors runs marathons. She’s quite fit. She also owns a Maverick. She’s told me when we started up a conversation that she has to adjust the way she sits quite a few times when she drives. Every time I see somebody in public I asked them the same thing. I have had quite a few few people say that they are uncomfortable as well. So you can take your oh I know all these fit people and I’m fit and throw that out the window.

Now back to what I said in the beginning as I was discussing from the video. And I tend to agree with. There’s just so much plastic. All over the place. I mean how do you have just a small portion of the entire vehicle with cloth over top plastic? I mean even in the F1 50s or the Rangers you have more than just plastic all over the place. I understand that it’s a compact vehicle and they are in high demand so I know you probably skimp out on some premium material but plastic everywhere? What if plastic cracks? What if there are other complications because of the plastic? It’s cheaply made. That’s what it was designed to be. A cheap vehicle which was supposed to price out at $20,000 but now they jacked it up to $30,000. I understand everyone wants to focus on the seats which I had two threads about. Well technically three if we want to be specific because one like I said was on the seats itself, one was on the bronco sport seats being put into the car or a Nissan seat being put into it. And the other one was on all Ford seats. But I have no idea why it keeps deviating back to that exact topic when the premise of this entire thread was on the video. The whole video does not talk about seats. He goes over everything step-by-step

Now you talk about the eco-boost. I have the hybrid version. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve waking up and gotten ready to go to work and I get into the vehicle and the car is revved high and I have to slow down and stop sometimes in the middle of the road if there’s nobody there or I have to pull over to the side to hit the brakes or slow down to a stop and slow slowly accelerate again to make the revving stop I don’t know why it’s revving in the first place but that’s what I have to do.

Accelerating is probably more noticeable when you have an eco-boost with a turbo. I don’t have that. I have the hybrid which gets great gas mileage don’t get me wrong but if you can’t accelerate and you’re losing out to other SUVs or trucks or what not on the road because you can’t accelerate enough to beat somebody who’s driving slow as hell on the road when the path is closing that’s a problem. Normally I can whip through small openings in the road with previous vehicles. On this one it feels like I have to force the thing hard

AND I have looked into the Higher trim mav. I went XL because I felt like I could get away with upgrading it over time but I skimped out on the heated seats which would be a game changer. Missed out on power mirrors which I like to have when some moron shines his brights in my eyes to reflect them back at him. Missed out on a better stereo - I thought getting my own amp and speakers would have sufficed. Basically I went in for gas mileage and passed on other things. In hindsight, i may have looked at it that way but still there’s other issues. So long story short, I’m not trying to say YOU ALL can’t enjoy the vehicle. I’m giving you all MY angle , from someone who sees the other side of the pillow. Oh and who isn’t a large individual

Also, the claim that it has more pick up or boost than a V8? That’s just way off. I had a Nissan Murano (2017) that had a V6 in it. There is no way, shape or form, that this has more of a pick up than that did. I could fly down the road with that thing. I loved when I had to get next to somebody who was trying to beat me on the road and I just accelerate and I beat them. I am one of those drivers. I’m not going to deny that. I have a leadfoot. And I’m not apologizing over it. You can definitely tell this does not have that same kind of push

So to each their own. If you want noise and comfort, go spend about 3 to 4 times the cost of the Mav on a full size truck. I will keep my little guy.

I mostly agree with you except about the SEATS. I rented a Maverick XL EcoBoost before I bought my XLT hybrid. Basically to see if it was easy to get in and out of and what it was like to live with it for a week.
XL, XLT and Lariat trims start with the exact same profile manually adjustable cloth seats, but higher trims and optional packages add a power-adjustable driver's seat with lumbar support and more upscale upholstery materials. The Lariat for example has ActiveX faux leather, but it's still the same exact seat that's in the XL and the XLT

Did you ever the find the article you claimed to have read about Ford not offering Carplay and Android Auto on future vehicles? Or is that something else that you made up?
