Splash Guard is cracked Replacae with new myself?

Not sure how old you think I am, but my desire to talk to parts counter people isn't exactly increasing as I age.

looks like the price really went up since I purchased just this past February. Now showing at $42.79. Wow !!

I am just going to remove the cracked one and the one on the drivers side A number of comments say that a new one will just split/crack again

If that were true wouldn't there be many many posts about it? Mine is 2 years old and just like new. Maybe run down to @Cherokee's neck of the woods and grab one off of Pepper
