About a week ago, I requested access on FordPass to my being-built 2024 Maverick. A few days ago, I noticed that the picture in the FordPass App matched the Carbonized Gray BAP. But today, as I was doing something on the computer, my phone beeped and told me "You have successfully been authorized to remotely control and view the location of "2024 Maverick", the name I had given it when I added the VIN to my Fordpass.

Someone has put 37 miles on it! But seriously, I wonder if the battery will last long enough for me to track it this way, instead of bugging the dealer for a VinView screenshot.

My 2023 came with 40 miles on it. Maybe I'm 2 for 2. My wife is getting excited that it is nearing completion! Tracker is still stuck back at 12/1/23 last update...but something must be happening.

My Blue EB had 41 miles on it when I took delivery. CO Hybrid only had 12 miles on delivery.

I found a small yellow sticker in my glovebox that said my vehicle had been randomly selected for a QC drive and that they had put 20 miles on it.

Likely a quick Taco run to a local carneciria. The craftsman need lunch and they want to check if your wireless charger is working. Lol. My 23 arrived with 3 miles on it. Hopefully they'll charge it up and you can watch it travel by rail to the border and then to your dealer.

That's what I'm hoping. Still in the samp place this morning, going nowhere fast. Tracker still hasn't been updated since 12/1, showing in production 11/30.

I'm "lending" my 2023 to my wife today for a 150 mile trip since hers is not here yet.

Even into the Wyoming wind, it will still get twice the mileage of the other option, the Jeep JKU, and be a lot easier to drive down the interstate.

Added 1 more mile to the odometer since I last checked, and the truck is now much closer to the train tracks according to the new location on FordPass. Still no update from the 12/1 tracker report, but it is nice to see it move.

Someone did a master reset in the truck and that took it off of my connection account. Now when I go to my account, the 2024 appears with the button to activate it...but now when I press that button, it says "Feature Unavailable. This feature cannot be activated at this time. Please try again once you've taken delivery of your vehicle."

No more watching it sit in the lot in Hermosillo, but hopefully, the reset means they are actually doing something with it after sitting there for 28 days.

28 days sounds about right as mine sat for about a month between built and shipping. The bonus was a sack of a dozen steak and cheese burritos in the center console for me.

One can only imagine what 3 weeks on a train would do to steak and cheese burritos. I'm glad it isn't summer. Maybe they will stay a bit refrigerated.
