Well, this was fun...
My 23 order was a 24. My 24 was traded for a 25... my 25 has been in for the same electrical issues 5 times... hey Ford, where are your wiring harnesses? Deciding between Ford Reacquired, replacing it or cash and keep. Oh, they can NOT do cash and keep for any vehicle that is yet to be repaired... ok. Order the harness. What NATIONAL backorder without an eta????

The bad harness, to my knowledge, is not hybrid specific.
It is on the drivers side and connects the gas door, rear sensors for blis and driver taillight assembly.

The wiring is not even the issue, it is the connector.

That sucks. But I read too many horror stories on this forum about hybrids before I purchased my old fashioned ICE vehicle. And I stayed away from the 25 MY EB because it is new.
Wait until you hear about cam phasers on the eco boost.

Ford parts inventory, well, isn't.
I waited a month to get a driver's side mirror when my 2019 Flex had it taken off by a deer. Finally the insurance company, who doesn't like junkyard parts, ordered a junkyard mirror because there was no ETA on a Ford part. This was in 2022.

My aunt waited nearly three months for a body panel for her Lincoln in 2023. Finally had to pull the nuclear option on the dealer and company (lots of threats) before they found one in Canada and brought it in.

I waited a month for an auxiliary battery heater for a Fusion PE Hybrid in 2017. There were only TWO of these at dealers, one in CA one in CO and neither would provide the part to the dealer in MI.

Even my NEW 2023 Maverick Lariat Hybrid, after shipment from Mexico by train to Michigan, went to a rework facility in Michigan after offloading from the train, but before delivery to the dealer. That added about 2-3 weeks to the delivery time as they had to do something to the Mav. This was at the time when these were uncommon. I waited 13 months for it.

The dealers are generally not at fault. Ford abhors ANY kind of supply chain inventory. The problem then is, people wait for parts. Cars sit at dealers waiting for parts, taking up space at the dealer or repair shop. They don't like it, customers don't like it. Nobody up the chain gives a &^%$.

Are you saying ALL mechanical devices can have parts failures? Oh my that is news to me after 50 years of driving. BTW never have had an engine failure in any of my vehicles since I was over 18. Did have a engine fail in a 1969 Chrysler that I was driving that belonged to my Dad but he was told it was going to blow for months and it did.
You said you’ve heard horror stories about the hybrid. I’ve heard horror stories about the eco boost.

Damaged connector during manufacture?

I guess that's why they'll many times have a harness supplier onsite with tools and new connectors.

Seems those tools could be available in every decently major metro area incase needed.
New connectors on the other hand .... good grief, throw a few into a truck heading to location needed.

There are electrical connector crimpers that cost thousands each. Many are very specialized.

Shoot - I was just thinking of the tools that allow the wire/metal grabber to slide out the back, to insert into a new connector.
Like if plastic is crushed.
Even those are different so many times.
Didn't think about if worker jammed 2 connectors together and ruined the pins.
