Took delivery of my 2026 Maverick Saturday evening. Have only put a few hundred miles on it, but several times while driving, I will hear a single chime or ding. Higher in pitch than my incoming text alert, but similar.

I have not been able to figure out what this is signalling.

Any input is appreciated.

Hi Jeff!
Had mine since mid-June.
Could be the lane-centering feature auto-disabling due to not being able to see the lane markers. Immediately after the 'ding', look in the center of the driver's display directly in front of you for a message. I drive in Richardson as well and have a few moments of mine auto-cancelling.

The 'dong' referred to in another post could be the onboard map/gps setting to alert you when approaching a railroad crossing and/or a school zone.

Thanks for the input. This happened this AM on Palisades Creek drive approaching the SB service road of US 75. One single bell sound, like one of those ring bell for service bells.

No lane markers and no rail road tracks. I do not think my truck has any of the driving assist features but I have not used cruise control on the highway yet.

This happens at random times on surface streets.

Do you have your phone connected in any manner to the truck?

Because TXTopgun was listing 2 potential causes.

The truck itself with a built in system. You said you don't have that, but double-check your window sticker.

The truck passing on something from a phone. Many opportunities with that.

Are you using Android Auto or carplay? I picked up my 2026 a few months ago and i was getting a single ding. It was the ford assistant in the background notifying of a text, even though i was connected to Android Auto. I turned off the Ford assistant and it's never done it since.
