I enjoyed my 22 xlt but finally gave up owing to battery issues. It was Interesting comparison shopping between dealerships. Most would only give 17500 to 18000 for a trade-in. Including Carvana. I was finally able to get CarMax to quote 19500, which I then used as a leverage with other dealers. I started with a Costco discount and then got the dealership to find me what I wanted. They found a fully deck out lariat that someone ordered but didn't want and were having trouble selling. The upgrades were well less than half their MSRP price. I rejected all dealerships add-ons. All told the cost was a little over 20k for a 46k msrp.. I then transferred my Granger extended warranty for only 1K. Happy so far with the new truck.
The salesman told me a good trick for buying a new ford. Find what you want and then go into the dealership a hour before closing on the last day of the month with a cashier's check for what you're willing to pay. Not sure if it's true but I know they were really trying hard with me to get the deal closed on the last day if the month .
