Well, after getting another email from FORD stating that the replacement parts are available-along with constant reminders via my FORD PASS app that I had a safety recall open on my vehicle-, I made anther appointment with the dealer. I was able to get an appointment within 2 weeks. I took photos of the interior the night before because of other posts that reported covers were not placed back properly, fingerprints everywhere and other issues after the work being done. While checking in this morning, the Service Advisor said she noted this was the 2nd time for the same recall. We had a short discussion about it.
That was at 8am. At 12:30pm, she called and stated that the truck was all done. Upon checking it before driving off the lot, I did notice a small smudge of something on the drivers side A post cover. It wiped right off. There were some more small marks on the interior of the windshield also near the A post. Again, they came right off with a little glass cleaner. Most likely they were from the removal & replacement of the A post plastic covers.
So, its done and I have to report that the job was done well and I have no issues with this dealers service department over this recall. Lets see how long it takes for my YETI cup to arrive!
