Side body moulding

Has anyone found a moulding to apply to the doors to prevent thoughtless people parked next to us from dinging our doors with theirs. With all that open flat space on the Mav doors, it is a must for me.

The OEM moulding is far too low on the door to be useful. Need something to go mid door

I saw a thread on this. Can't remember where. For me, it will happen someday even with the molding. Just one of those things. First ding on my previous car was in the first week. All clean for the next 5 years. Go figure.

I found color matching molding from Dawn. I ordered a set in Carb gray..

Ya, there's a thread somewhere on here about that. Probably under accessories. In my experience, no matter where you place the side moulding there's going to be a car door that's configured in such a way as to hit the paint somewhere else. I put moulding strips around the edge of my doors so as not to ding other cars and I've noticed that newer cars have a factory moulding on the door edges. Being clear and thin it's barely noticeable. My advice is to try to avoid parking too close to where you want to be.

In my experience, no matter where you place the side moulding there's going to be a car door that's configured in such a way as to hit the paint somewhere else....My advice is to try to avoid parking too close to where you want to be.

Yeah I try, but of course you can't control who parks next to you once you leave the truck....

3” or 4” wide. Originally meant for below the doors to prevent rocks thrown up by the front wheels. Comes in a 20’ roll. Only in black, as far as I know.
The door edge guards are to protect other vehicles from you.

This isn't too bad of a look. Question: Is that a tape or is it an actual 3D rubber molding?

The latter. Solid rubber of some kind. Grooved.
Secured with 3 strips of peel-off tape, akin to the stuff securing the vent-visors. Cut, xacto knife, to meet the fender flares.
Great stuff. This is the third vehicle on which I’ve used it.
