I come from a Chevrolet Impala with a large trunk and a pass thru rear seat. It served me well until someone ran into me. I really hated giving up that trunk. Anyways, I will need to completely empty the bed several times a year to put in camping gear, but that's another story. I am looking to see what others might be doing to keep their junk, but necessary to them, (storage under rear seats is already full) that is easily reconfigured or removable.

I think I can be happy with what the container I purchased as it fits like a glove height wise with the BAKFlip MX4 Tonneau Cover. I have a small stool to help me get up into the bed (over 60).

I do have a access to another truck for messy loads.

I had budget left since my Maverick was a cheap build, so I got a bed cap.

Just got a BamBed and I made the ski rack last fall. Usually it's one or the other, but I'm trying both. 4 bins (10 gal each) fit under the bam bed and the back two I attached ropes. Chair fits in the front. Should be good for camping once I remove the ski rack.

I hope to get some sort of bed cap in the future once the funds come available and give my Tonneau Cover to a son who also has a Maverick. The cost and lead time for one did not make that possible, but I will be dreaming until that day comes.

How do you like your BamBed? Did you get the tailgate extension also?

Was debating on getting one wasn’t sure if was worth the cost versus just making my own platform. Would you buy it again?

Bam bed just came in the mail but it should help store camping gear come April. I might go back to just the ski rack for March.

I'm good for dumb labor is about all, so a no brainer for me. The extension is almost mandatory at +$100 ($600 total).

I'll likely get a truck tent and sleep sometimes but it's more for storage and to get the cooler out of the way. Could also cook on the extension.

Having a topper you dont really have to worry about securing stuff too much unless you are hauling really heavy items of lumber. But I do like the roof net and cargo hangers I made. It allows me to get more creative with strapping things. It opens up a third dimension to get the tensioning mechanism out of the way of the cargo. The net absorbs extra straps, dog treats, frisbees, leashes, Also is a great spot to hold pizza.

Not sure if this idea helps anyone, but if you have a old chair with casters, save the casters and utilize them on a custom made platform of your size depth on the bed. Sometimes stuff like this comes to mind if one decides to build a wooden box on the bed of one's truck . Similar to the wooden side walls folks used to add on trucks back in the 1950ish Era. My pops had a 1953 ford f100 with the hump hood and flat motor engine in his old truck. Don't have the truck anymore but just the memories of it and the stuff he did to make things work. Like building a spare tire rack off the side of the bed for easier access to the tire. Simple things to get stuff done.

I use 5 things to help me stay organized:

1. Lomax hard trifold cover
2. Truxistm - bed divider
3. Buckhorn storage bin - 48x15x7.5
4. Bungee cord
5. 2 Rubbermaid 4.6 gallon trays - 20x15x5
