After a year and 3 months of waiting she has finally come home. On a side note, I didn't notice until I got home that the back seat does not lock into place. Am I missing something here?

The back seat does not latch into position as far as I know from all the videos I've seen. Also did you get your truck lifted?

No not lifted. Does it really not lock into place? That's odd.

Slam the h-ll out of it. :) Just a "break-in" thing. Then pull one of the two "tabs" to release.

Congrats!!

To be fair, I'd listen to those who actually have their Mavericks. I don't have mine yet, but I seem to recall at least for some of the videos I've watched online the owners said their seats did not lock in when lowered. But maybe there is a patch mechanism that I missed.

I have an XLT LUX AWD, and it looks lifted too. I dislike the look, since I have zero intention of off-roading (just need the AWD to do the 175' vertical climb up my driveway). It just looks like the tires and wheels are too small for that huge wheel well. I'd love an AWD variant that is dropped a bit for a hair better fuel mileage. Not that 28.5 is all that bad for an AWD truck.

It is a little tricky. If you are pulling on the cord/release when it is up, it won’t lock. You have stop pulling on the cord, then it will stay up.

I have a hybrid and it sits taller than the FX4 I compared it to. Ford doesn’t give exact height differences on their site though. But yeah, the hybrid seems taller (though probably not as much underbody ground clearance due to torsion beam suspension and all).

This, give it a little muscle, sometimes mine takes a bit of a slam to get it to latch.

Funny, I got mine today. Back seat wasn’t latched too. I did the ole “slam it shut” and to my non-surprise it worked perfectly. It’s a truck, treat it like one.

Pull the release strap, raise the back seat as vertical as it will go, release the strap.

To lower it, pull the release strap while seat is in upright position, lower the seat, then release the strap to latch it in place.

While I do appreciate all of the replies and "fixes", I waited this long and paid a lot of money, I shouldn't have to slam it to get it to latch. They are gonna have to fix it.

Hi there, I'd be happy to look into your Maverick concerns on my end. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info? I can look into things on my end.
