Nice Mav, even nicer bike, those XSR's are a nice looking machine. I'm biased though as a guy with a 700 myself.

Do you have a good ramp option you used? Been in the market for one myself if I wanted to load the bike up

I drove the Tail of the Dragon in my F-150. My wife said, "Never again!"

THanks!! Love my XSR. 700 is a fun bike too.

I just have one of those fold in half aluminum ramps. I use a small step stool to make up the gap when stepping onto the bed. Even At 6'4" its still a big step while balancing 400lbs,
Hopefully the future air ride will make loading easier.

When I was young, and VERY foolish, I fired up my '72 Kawasaki Mach 3 and DROVE it up the ramp into the box of my '68 El Camino. Stopping in time was not quite possible. The inevitable happened, but I'm happy to report no bones were broken -just very sore for a couple of days.

Rode 400 miles to Deals Gap at the crack of dawn, rode the dragon coming and going and was back home at 9:30 PM. Months later, I took the wife in the truck to show her what she was missing. She said she didn't miss a thing. Go figure. I did it on a Harley - definitely couldn't do it on a crotch rocket. The police helped by not seeing or stopping me for flying to low. :) Killboy picture hanging on the wall.... I wonder now when I look at the picture, how I did it. The Maverick is the only way I would try it now.
