You can't compare. Theirs is a Lariat and yours is a lowly XLT.LOL - that's only 20 minutes from me. Maybe I should drive my $31,100 Avalanche Gray Tremor XLT w/Lux up there and compare them......
EDIT: Oh yeah - that's Byers. They aren't total scum but they are real close to it.
When I bought my Subaru - I had an offer of 5% below invoice from a dealer in NE Ohio - same exact vehicle that Byers had. Byers wanted MSRP. I showed them the deal - said "why don't you sell it to me for what the other deal will?"
"Are you really willing to lose a relationship, access to service, and a local dealership for a few thousand dollars?"
*Smoke starts pouring out of my ears*
"Did you just threaten to withhold service on a vehicle that has a factory warranty on it? I'm going to need to speak to the sales manager please"
They tried selling the vehicle to me for what Boardman Imports in NE Ohio was going to - I declined, and bought it from Boardman.
Guess who serviced my vehicle on extended warranty for the next 8 years? Byers.
Screw them.
I was being sarcasticI paid 37k for a Lariat Tremor I can compare and there price is $#/+.
you know the saying '... one born every minute'And someone will buy it too.
Sarcasam!!!, we don’t do sarcasam here.I was being sarcastic
I kind of agree with this take. "Shady" is marking up when you agreed to a price already. This is just an opportunistic behavior that will either work or it won't. But they are being up front about it.How is the dealership being "shady"? They have openly disclosed the price they want to sell it for, nobody is holding a gun to anybodies head to buy it at that number.
If someone offered you $10K over what you paid, would you be considered unscrupulous for taking it?
