I've had my 2024 Lariat Hybrid now 8 months and I'm at 2300 mi. YES I'm late at getting my first service (but I now have an appointment next week). But I've been getting these FINAL NOTICES and wondering if they are scams. Thoughts???

Throw my hat in the ring. Yes, I have had my 2024 Maverick since 2/4/24. I have received these scams since about 2 weeks out and do still get them every couple of weeks. Like you I wasn’t sure and called my dealership and they confirmed it was a scam. I even went to the dealership and had them pull up my service contract so I could see it just to make
sure. Smart call on turn part to be wary friend.

He's used to the boomers that clutch their pearls if you don't change the oil after the first 1000 miles.
Iam 65 and went by the factory recommendation for first and subsequent oil changes at 5k. I also have been driving for 50 years and never rotated a tire. I might do RDU and tranny fluid change around 60k.

Usually "FINAL NOTICE" is a tip-off that something is a scam. They are trying to rush you into doing something without due dilligence.

He's used to the boomers that clutch their pearls if you don't change the oil after the first 1000 miles.
Types of oil change cycles that people swear by:
1) First oil change when they get home from buying the vehicle, not worth the risk!
2) Data says first change should be at 500 miles. The factory filter is full of metal, and break in oil is toast!
3) The, if you go past 1000 miles your piston rings will never seat correctly and the engine will burn 1 quart between changes guy.
4) The every 6 months or 5000 miles change. Normal for a lot of people who aren’t self proclaimed car guys/gals and just don’t want problems. A must for turbo charged engines, the techs say.
5) 1 time a year type. Drives less than 5k miles a year.
6) The, go by the owner manual, the engineers know what they are talking about, anything else is a waste of money type.
7)25k-50k oil change. Has it been that long? I was too busy!
8) The over 50k type. The one that drives until the engine won’t go anymore. Has it towed to a shop and is told the engine is locked up from sludge and they need a new one. Storms out of the shop yelling, “Oil changes are a scam to rip you off!!! Mechanics are all crooks!!!”

I've gotten many (9) of these types of notices. "Time Sensitive" and "Final Notice" but they keep coming. I answer none of them. If I decide to get an extended warranty, I will contact Ford or a Ford dealer (Grainger) directly.

same experience.
I get about 2 per month, some in my name and some in my wife's name. It started about a month after I got the truck, they make it look so official, what a waste of paper.

Those are scams. I have basically the same notice about my home owners warranty/insurance is expiring. I need to take immediate action to avoid loss of coverage. This is for my water system electric etc. Mine does not expire because I have never had that type policy, nor do I want or need one. If you get one of these as an email, don't open it, just mark it spam and bock sender. It will not stop them from trying again, but you will remember it. If they come in the mail, look at the Notice, there is no address of any kind printed on it or the envelope it came in, judt an 800 number where you can make an electronic payment. The "company" is not in the US. If you deadset on giving away your money, I will send you my address.😆😆😆

Easy to spot most of these, but if I have any doubt, I Google the phone number. Better Business Bureau will normally already have it listed as a scam as well as several other businesses.

Yes, it's an attempt to separate you from your money. If you have any concerns and think there's a chance it could be legit, DO NOT contact them through their number or website. Contact Your warranty company or dealership wth the number you were given when you purchased the warranty or vehicle. Same with the website. Always use the web information you were given. Never respond to an unsolicited email even if it SEEMS to be from the same company. Always initiate contact with the information you have in your possession

Depending on the state, the fact you have a Ford registered might be publicly available.

When in doubt, log into Ford's website. They list your recalls there.
Also can use NHTSA's SaferCar app or check their site with your VIN.
