Just got my Maverick this past weekend. Freakin love it! The ONLY gripe I have is the seat height, particularly the front of the seat. I bought mine without really getting to sit in or test drive first - there’s never been any sitting at the dealers to try so that’s that. I’m 5’11” and I fit pretty good in this truck it’s just that because you can’t lower the front edge of the seat it’s always against the underside of my leg quite a bit. The only thing that helps a little is moving the seat forward or using cruise a lot. Has anyone else figured out a solution to this? My buddy suggests putting a blanket on the seat and resting a cinder block on the front right edge of the seat over night, every night until the cushion has relaxed a bit.

Take a look at the back mounting points, you can make/get spacers to raise the back.
I raised our Hyundai passanger 2", you can buy a kit for most asian cars.
Don't go crazy with the spacers, a little goes a long way.

Should have got the Lux package - it comes with the 8-way power drivers seat and you could have adjusted to fit.

What about increasing the height of the rear of the seat with those small seat cushions.

This is a common issue with this common Ford seat in most of this platform's models (Bronco Sport, Escape, Lincoln Corsair, etc).

The seat seems to hinge at the front and height adjustments really only adjust at the rear of the seat. This is to say that the entire seat does not go up and down in a linear fashion.

I had same issue but have been driving for 2 months and it’s gotten better. I do wish that the seat was maybe a little longer on the bottom so it would be closer to where my knee bends and not right in the middle of my thigh.

with the standard XLT you can adjust the seat higher and lower correct? You are just talking about the tilt I assume?

I usually have my seats lowered as far as possible, but in the Mav I raised the back up a few lever pulls and it feels really comfortable. The lower the seat is, the higher the front feels. Maybe give that a shot? I’m 6’1” for reference.

That will be a big disappointment if it really works that way.

Every car I've had in recent years (with manual seats) had a lever on the side that moved the whole seat up and down. If this one just tilts the seat that will make it hard to get comfortable.

The only difficulty was that moving the seat up usually also moved it forward slightly and moving it down moved it backward. So if you changed the height you then had to readjust the forward/backward position.

I want to see if I can get one out of a totaled lux package and put it in my non lux XLT. I wonder if the hookups are still there.

correct, but what it actually lifts is just the rear of the seat pad. The front is actually like a hinge so it never really goes up or down. I watched a YouTube video of a guy with the power seats and his did the same thing so maybe it’s just the set up with these Trucks.

Wife's Escape seems to do about that w/its power seats. It works well for me though, but I do find I also end up moving the seat just a touch forward and still need to recline the back rest of the seat to become comfortable. I'm.... Well I was about 6'4" and am now about 6'2.5". ...age, multiple disk fusion and degeneration will do that to you.

I think a few spacers under the brackets at the rear of the seat would help. Longer bolts might be required.

Not really as it has the same problem; only adjust up or down, no tilt. My wife has more trouble with it than I do but I do find it a bit hard to stay comfortable as a result. Have started getting used to sitting lower to take the pressure off under the front part of the leg.
