Screen Out

This just happened today. Went to the store and when we went back out nothing on the screen worked. No navigation, audio or anything. Turned off and on three separate times and nothing. Also the connection for the cell phone wasn't working. On the fourth try later in the AM it came back on and has been working ever since. I'm thinking maybe something in the ignition?

If it happens again do a reset by holding >> and the power button for about 8 seconds. If that doesn't resolve it then you can take it in to have it tested.

It's an official Ford account, but it's a bot that posts here. I guess when you send it a message it somehow alerts a real person, though.

Probably not worth your time. If it's in already for service, maybe mention it then. Mine has glitched out a few times and the reset always corrects it.

Glitches in the screen/infotainment system are so common, I'm surprised you haven't experienced it more often. I have to do the Power button + >> at least a few times a month to clear up issues.
I wouldn't even bother mentioning it to the dealer unless it becomes a frequent issue (ie: several times a week).

I am hoping the recall fix for the freezing rear camera might help with some of the issues that many/most of us have had with the non-Sync 3 radio/screen units, also known as Connected Touch Radios.
