So has anyone did the scotchguard treatment on the insides outlier Maverick?
I had did it to my Hyundai and made sure I hit the carpets. 5 years in and they still look good. Any thoughts?

I intend to do this to mine. Have always had good luck with Scotchgard in preventing stains.

Have always put on new cloth interiors. Seems to me to be good use of money and effort. It also helps that my kid is grown!

When I used scotch guard on all my other cars' fabric seats, they developed a white dusty texture after 2 months or so (especially on black fabric). So I'm probably going to hold off on using any products on my Mav. Might just get seat covers instead.

My finance guy was pushing it and all but called me an idiot for refusing it.
Then said they would throw it in and I still refused and he went full emo after that.

He was hurtin' on his commission. When Ford or the dealer group sends you a follow up survey, you should mention it.

My purchase experience (read on if interested):

I had the dealer finance refund me for a ESP and Maint Care ($3500 total). The Sales Mgr asked me the REAL reason instead of the BS reason: Finance wanted me to buy it so they could get credit (and profit of course).

He apologized and said that is why he wanted to know. He advised me he was a finance mgr at another dealer so he knows. I know the finance person was disappointed and could not talk me out of it because I CC'd the sales mgr, salesperson, and BC'd the General Manager.

Your dealer would be happy to give your truck this treatment.

Thing is it's an very easy thing to do your self on this one. 90 min to do it and the can of scotchguard. There are thing's like this anyone with time can do.

Which type of scotchgard would you all recommend? The red can(fabric water shield), green can (heavy duty water shield), or the yellow can (Sun and water shield)?

I have ceramic tints on my windows, if that makes a difference. Also, how many cans would it take to do front and back?

I intend to use the standard red can, and one can should suffice for the interior if you follow the instructions of two light coats.

I’ve done several of my cars in the past and have had great success. They also have an auto specific option as well.
