Yes, I like the benefits of the aero under the vehicle with the under body covers, but what a pain in the whatchamacalit dealing with the panels. It would be nice if they just had some smaller panel opening flaps that are quick access for the routine maintenance.
Someone made just such a thing for the Bronco Sports. An aluminum pan with oil access doors.
I’d bet a plug nickel they’re out the for the Mav.

There is such a pan but I am not willing to pay $399.00 for it!

@MABETT What do you think? Can we get a replacement below the engine cover that has access flaps for oil drain and filter access?

AGREED... time for our CDC friends to come up with a slick 3D printed solution. Let the competition begin

I had planned on doing first change at 1000-1500k but never found the time. Doing it now at 3500k. Then I'll do regular changes at every 10k miles, maybe 15k. I drive about 20k a year of mixed highway/city, and won't be hauling anything heavy (what would even fit?) or towing. Even though I'm old, I understand the science and the engineering, and am not compelled to waste money with extraneous oil changes for no tangible reason. There are actually people who still think you need to change oil every 2500 miles, even every 1000 miles, in 2025!
I got the EZ oil drain valve to install on this first change.

I've heard the easy valves have a tendency to leak. Would like to hear of others' experience

I have FUMOTO valves on ALL my vehicles. Even the Dually.

Makes for a mess free oil change. Have never tried any other oil valves. I stick with what has worked for me over the years. A little pricey, but the ease of draining............. And in the diesel dually; the first change I ever did I miscalculated the distance I should have had the drain pan behind 14 quarts of hot nasty diesel oil and ya. The valve went in. What a mess I had made

I think that’s a really good idea! Do you happen to have any product links or reference photos you could share?
