The wrinkles are from the tonneau cover being rolled up for the last week. They will go away after a wash and some time in the sun. You can take the two support bars out very easily, but the cover does flap around more without the support bars but not as bad as I thought. Also, water will puddle a lot more easily with the support bars removed. The support bars are very easy to put in and take out and have to come out if you are covering something taller than the height of the bed. The material is like a thick mesh material but is soft to the touch. It seems to do a great job of stretching and retracting and doesn't get "stretched out". It also has surprisingly good water resistance. It will be interesting to see how long it lasts but it does seem very well made!

That looks like it will work great with the T-slot rails to be able to add a rack system to it

Thanks for adding to your original post. The added photos are informative. Is the rear most mount at the tailgate easily removed also? Let us know how it holds up and keeps things dry. This could be a temporary solution until I find what I really want. (I don't think it's made for the Maverick yet.)

At least from photos, It kinda resembles a thin wetsuit e..g. neoprene or similar, including the way it temporarily wrinkles. I still like it a lot.

I've had mine since Nov '23 and it's been great. This is about 45mph. Really isn't too far off at highway speeds.

The water resistance is impressive, the material is pretty thick. The was, of course, some small amounts water but I don't think it came from leaking through top. The owner does recommend adding an extra layer of water repellent spray that was easy to install. Even without it, it held up well.

I tend to roll mine up the opposite way, from underneath. Took a while to get used to but it keeps water from pooling up in there. I've gotten better at and cleaner results since this pic.

Id highly recommend getting some big flat washers for the bolts that secure the frame down. I had a frustrating time getting the supplied lock washers to stay in place as they'd keep slipping into the slot of the clamp.

How easy is it for someone with a boxcutter to cut through the material? Is there a video from the manufacturer showing what it can stand?
