No more Rusty Jones rustproofing.
I understand Ziebart is still in business.
One of the benefits of living in the 🏜 Desert Southwest.
Is that we have some real old
"rust free" vehicles.
Good luck.

Any one done it? If so, what product?
I had Ziebart of Shrewsbury MA to do a complete rust proofing . 10 yr warranty but requires an annual inspection . I was given a 10% military discount as well . I also had them apply window tinting to the front door windows and a 6” strip on the windshield . I’m very satisfied with their service and the results .

Well, being in Minnesota, magnesieum (sp) chloride is the product used. It sticks and doesn't wash off. I am 76. I am now going south in the winters. Not sure how long I will keep it up. My Lincoln TC has never been exposed to salt. It has no rust at all. It is a 2005. So, I am thinking no to rust proofing. The Maverick will not see salt for at least 5 years, So at this time doesn't seem like a good investment.

But thanks everyone for you thoughts. Love this little truck and this forum.

If DYI, I recommend and use Fluid Film and Woolwax. There are lots of other threads on these topics. I live in Northern Minnesota in the heart of the Rust Belt.

Fluid Film, lots of plastic removal and a lift to make it all doable. Have fun.

My go-to after moving to upstate NY has been the Waxoyl product. It seeps into all of the areas that most other products can’t get to. And it doesn’t clog up any natural drainage channels that may have been built in or create pockets that trap moisture. I get it done at CorrsionProPlus, great customer service. I think it’s a franchise.
I'm also a fan of waxoyl.

I was just watching a YouTube video last night where the owner of a couple of Mavericks and the one thing he stressed was that underbody rustproofing is a bit lacking and for once actually recommended some added protection
You’re right, about lots of bare metal undercarriage components under the Mavericks,..for those who live on the northern latitudes where lots of salt is used to deicing the roads rust proofing is a must!
