Rust already?

Washed my truck today and noticed the corner of the bed got rusted out. Maybe it’s time to do a spray in liner.

Looks more like some small pieces of iron settled in the crevice there and is rusting.

Agree with above poster, but definitely do the spray in liner. It's not very expensive and makes your bed much more durable.

Minnesota rust belt, I mean Minnesota rust box clapped out truck driver here...
My 15xxx Maverick has 2 winters under it's belt. With "do your own car wash" washes every 2-3 weeks, the only alarming/dumb rust is on my exhaust, and on the drive chain going from rear diff to front of vehicle has surface rust. Looks worse then my 2016 100k Malibu undercarriage. The exhaust is definitely not going to last long on these things in the great Midwest. Exhaust tip is completely rust, muffler is not great, pipe isn't looking amazing. Otherwise front n rear axles look great, driveshaft going to rear diff is only component that doesn't look new, has brown color over all of it. Already had that starting a week after I got it. Just a heads up, they may rust faster then ya think.

I had similar rust issues and figured out it came from the metal shavings when the drainage holes were drilled. I took my truck back and asked them to clean up all the rust spots in the bed which they did. No rust since and SIBL was done at the factory.
