Running small air compressor off AC 400 plug in the bed?

Trying to run a small air compressor off of the AC 400 w plug in the box of the Mav! Works fine when I plug into the cigarette plug inside the truck but the little adapter to allow the compressor to plug into that rear plug with the cigarette type plug does not work. Im missing something. Not sure If i can do it. is there a specific adapter that’ll work??

what model is your compressor? link to it. if the adapter didn't come with it, link that also, and I would immediately suspect it to be part of the issue.

my compressor has a button that toggles between 120vac and 12vdc, and separate input connectors without adapter.

K. I’ll look for a. Toggle button on mine. I suspect the cheap adapter i bought on amazon is the wrong adapter. My bad! Not with the truck right now but can post model soon. Thx

It has a pressure set point, which is super nice for cars and team ball sports. (It's very handy to dial in 8psi and inflate every soccer ball in the coach's gear bag.)

Plug a low wattge device in the bed receptacle (house lamp, etc.) to confirm the outlet is powered..
