has your wife sat in a Maverick? They are really low to the ground already compared to big trucks. I can't imagine anyone requiring running boards to get in and out of a Maverick.

That's great. We go to pick up our Marverick this afternoon. Just want to do some homework, it seems I think too much. Thanks.

You’ll only need running boards on your Maverick if your wife is two feet tall!!!

Hi, folks,

Any recommendations for the running board? I think my wife will ask for it. Thanks

Mike
It's not a large vehicle, if your wife can easily climb into something the size of an Escape/CR-V/RAV4/etc, she'll have no problem with a Maverick.

Running boards add weight to the truck with the result of reduced gas mileage.

And they look cheesy & after a few years of weather they look just bad.

You can NEVER overthink what your wife may want for the truck!

The only time anyone would need running boards on a low riding truck, is if you have a small dog that wants to get in and out by itself or as mentioned a two-foot-tall wife. Let's hope she has both her feet.

Running boards are an excellent investment .Keeps people from banging their doors on your Maverick .Keeps road debris from flying up. Your wife is a Genius .Question should be ,what running board is easiest to install and of good quality.

Your bang on , I had them on my wranglers 100% door ding protection (NOTHING WAS TALL ENOUGH TO HIT MY DOORS)and a bonus was keeping road grim of the paint… but the maverick is a different beast, any taller vehicle like mid size trucks will still connect with your doors and you loose ground clearance witch was never a big deal on my jeeps. But if done well thay can look nice. I do miss the protection now im that guy parked at the very furthest spot.:(
