Rumble update.

Sounds like the engine is lugging. I'll usually either back off the throttle a bit if I don't really need any more speed/torque, or I'll apply more and enough throttle to make the transmission downshift.

Sometimes I'll put it in Sport drive mode to help up some hills, one being the hills into my neighborhood every day, otherwise it seems to want to lug up the entire way. But I find Sport mode normally too aggressive just cruising around to leave it in that mode.

Was considering looking into Cobb's transmission tunes, to see how they are. Hoping they have one that's a good bit less aggressive than the factory Sport mode, but with more of a tendency to downshift instead of lug as the factory tune does.

Could kick myself through, I sold my last Cobb Accesport I had about 6 months ago after I sold a car, otherwise I could have paid the trade up fee and got one for the Maverick.

Put it in sport mode and it will hold the lower gears longer or not upshift all the way until you get to higher speeds. I can't say what it will do to your gas mileage though.

My 2024 Ecoboost's shitty transmission is silent and perfectly smooth just like my 2021 Bronco Sport Base models shitty transmission was. But then again I hated the feel of the CVT.

I'm glad yours works well, mine did not. And by judging from some of the responses in this thread and many others, I'm not alone.

The turbo? That's laughable...you need to find another dealer (if possible). I'm betting it's the shitty auto transmission that comes with the EB, as noted above.

I’m already thinking maybe I should trade it in with its 7,000 miles.
Go back to a Tacoma. Mine had 250,000 miles.

try tow/haul mode.

if you do get an accessport, yes and no on the OTS maps helping. I did some driving on the off-the-shelf maps a bit and their sport tcm is pretty good but it still has a very annoying hitch at low speed in 4th gear, around 15 mph that I am pretty certain is caused by the torque converter being locked. there is also another tcm tune called oem+ and it's more conservative still so you'd have some options.

and then, if you still found that less than ideal as I did, you can get a much better tcm tune (and custom 91 or 93 tune included) from jaz tuning. I had Jason build a map for E30 93 pump gas near me, and he did the tcm tune mainly because he wanted to fix his (wife's) Maverick and I was willing to test and give him some feedback. what I have now does upshift a lot later than stock, but it will settle into cruising gears that are pretty much the same as stock with normal drive mode, whereas sport mode you can count on always being 1 gear lower, with higher cruising rpm and very likely worse mpg.

Before I would do that, I would see if they can "align" the exhaust system so it doesn't resonate at low RPM's. I had another new vehicle that did that and the mfg came out with more compliant "donuts" that suspend the exhaust system. That absorbed the vibration better. That, and higher octane gas as others wrote.

It’s not that kind of rattle or rumble. Someone suggested driving in sport mode. That seems to do it. Not sure if I want to keep in that mode but no rumble. And that fits with my experience with standard shift cars. I also like how sport mode turns off the ”gas savings engine stop at all stops“ feature.

Per your suggestion, I did just try tow/haul coming up the hills in my plan, and it seems to be a better band aid than sport mode. I'll have to try it in some daily use. Plus it doesn't add the fake engine sound like sport does.

On paper, the OEM+ tcm tune holds most of my interest. Really don't mind the stock shifting in general, just wish it had a tendency to not sit as low as it does at times. I'll look into jaz tuning as well. Thanks.

My Maverick is misidentified here. It is a 2024 gas only. Not a hybrid. I have a rumble when I am at 1,000 to 1,500 RPM and going 40 MPH. Not accelerating. just cruising.
dealer says it is normal. It is the turbocharger.
I am not convinced. This reminds me of my standard shift car when I was in too high a gear for the low speed I was traveling.
Nothing to do with tires or wheel balance.
any Ideas?

Wet roads I don’t know but slippery equally divides up power front and rear where normal seems to send more engine power to the front wheels at all times,
About 20% more under most of my gravel road climbs.

Wet roads mode. I would think that means less or no power to the rear wheels. I know only having rear wheel drive can be tough on slippery roads when making a turn.
