Sounds like the engine is lugging. I'll usually either back off the throttle a bit if I don't really need any more speed/torque, or I'll apply more and enough throttle to make the transmission downshift.
Sometimes I'll put it in Sport drive mode to help up some hills, one being the hills into my neighborhood every day, otherwise it seems to want to lug up the entire way. But I find Sport mode normally too aggressive just cruising around to leave it in that mode.
Was considering looking into Cobb's transmission tunes, to see how they are. Hoping they have one that's a good bit less aggressive than the factory Sport mode, but with more of a tendency to downshift instead of lug as the factory tune does.
Could kick myself through, I sold my last Cobb Accesport I had about 6 months ago after I sold a car, otherwise I could have paid the trade up fee and got one for the Maverick.
