Debating between a 1" and 2" kit. Leaning towards the 1". Looking at the rough country kit, does anybody have it in the 1" or 2"? If so are you happy with it? (See some people bash RC and im not too familiar with leveling kits and who to buy from)

There’s an abundance of info on this topic within the forum. Use the search function at the top right using key words like “lift” “lift kit” “Rough Country”.

There are numerous other brands to consider as well, FordRangerLifts.com, ReadyLift.com, 4WheelParts.com, and maybe some others I’m forgetting.

Will do. Funny enough I was just looking at your build. Have the exact same trim, color, etc. as you. I think yours is in the sweet spot

Im waiting for a non spacer lift. Still dont want to go more than 2", maybe 3" max but want it to be a proper lift that adds more than height.

I am new to trucks. That do you mean by non spacer lift? Like a full suspension that is longer?

Lift springs and longer struts and shocks is what I am after. There is 1 or 2 companies on the forum that makes a custom coilover conversion but it is very pricey. Fortunately Ford has gifted us with the Tremor which uses longer springs and struts atleast we think. Ideally for me I think just a lift spring on a standard Tremor shock/strut will be perfect for me. I would like to sit 2" above stock F/R and run 245/70r17s, 245/75r17s or 255/70r17s. That would give me right at 1 ft of ground clearance. Pretty much perfect.

That's a big tire for this truck. Even with the lift would a 255/70/17 fit in the wheel well?

I have the H/R lift springs ready to install - Will definitely check out the Tremor struts when we get PN#s - etc.

Thats 31x10. Which is really the right size for dailydriver/offroading. Its all a truck needs to be capable. My Comanche runs 31x10.50 and that took 3 inches of lift to do. Same as with XJ/ZJ/WJ/KJ Jeeps. 31s make them all around great offroaders. Thats what Im looking for. There is somebody on here with 265/65r17 and 245/70r17s clear with a lift while flexed. So hopefully it should work to make the Tremor a perfect capable all around truck.

I don’t have the tremor I have the xl. I’m wanting to lift it in height what would I recommend. As a lift for that

Debating between a 1" and 2" kit. Leaning towards the 1". Looking at the rough country kit, does anybody have it in the 1" or 2"? If so are you happy with it? (See some people bash RC and im not too familiar with leveling kits and who to buy from)
I went with the RC 2 inch lift strut kit. I love it! I put some 245/65R17 MT Baja Boss ATs. Looks much better than stock. Tons of options out there, I personally went with RC because that is the only kit I could find that has the struts. Eibach has some that are just the springs. I personally didn't want to use the kits that are just spacers. I haven't been able to take a picture that really captures how much better it looks now.

Neither, just leave it alone. Lifting makes the rear wheels not be centered in the wheel well and looks like crap
