I saw some in the history but they were old and outdated. I'm looking to haul a canoe. It's that time of year. I have one picked on Amazon but I'd like to see one that actually fit the Mav.

By outdated I meant I clicked the link and the item was no longer offered. Not sure what you mean by outdated. The "name brand" roof racks that fit are the same models that have always been produced for naked roofs:
There are a handful of off-brand and sub-brand options, but these are the gold standard and the others are basically variants of these or knockoffs.
Here's mine with the Wingbar Evo...
I have a T bar and, you're right, it's wobbly. I stiffen it up with straps. My kevlar canoe is 17' long and it's not heavy, just awkward.IF I ever get a mav I intend to use my current yakima cross bar setup just need to rubber pads and clip a Clip kit that is made for Mav. Then use one bar on roof then use trailer hitch to put a t-bar from amazon for rear cross bar. This way bars are way farther apart. Not sure how it will work as the T-bar can be a bit wobbly but I think I know how to make that stiffer . The t-bars they sell of amazon are about 70 bucks. I would haul sea kayaks 16 and 17.6 feet long . If the t-bar is just not solid enough then two cross bars on roof like posted above.
So with straps how well or not well did it work? Do you use one off amazon or one of the more pricey Yakima or thule brand T-bars ?I have a T bar and, you're right, it's wobbly. I stiffen it up with straps. My kevlar canoe is 17' long and it's not heavy, just awkward.
Works well with some tuning. From Amazon. So with straps how well or not well did it work? Do you use one off amazon or one of the more pricey Yakima or thule brand T-bars ?
Maybe if you turned them around the hum would go away?Installed the Toros Pro 4 today and tested it out with the stubby antenna. Can't beat it at 200 shipped from Turkey and mostly pre-assembled. Clearly, it's a POS compared to a good Thule. I wasn't planning on using it a lot so it should work for light duty. Drove around and the alloy crossbars have a hum. Maybe I could spray foam in them. I can't really endorse this rack quite yet, but here it is, haha.
Anyways, if you want something nicer the Rhino rack is 400 and they go up in price from there.
I also installed these on my 2023 Maverick Lariat Hybrid and they fit perfectly without any drilling or major tools. I did apply electrical tape to any area that might touch the paint, like inside the door clamps, just to ensure no scratching. I did have a humming noise at speeds over 60mph but used the recommended bungie tie wrap around and it was eliminated.
