Any thoughts on these for longevity and strength? They seem like a great way to go and anytime you gotta puts holes in your roof…..well, you want to be sure. I plan on using my current Thule rack on this setup. They go on with sealing sheet metal screws, unless someone has a better thought to keep from leaking in the future . Also, placement would be just to the inside of the existing plastic strips ( for strength). My 2006 Honda CR-V has rack mounts built into the seam covered by the plastic strips. Oh….any conflicts with air bag wires?
