Brought home my first new vehicle yesterday, 2025 lariat hybrid AWD. Quite the upgrade from my 97 ranger!

I've seen a couple threads saying you can roll the windows down with the key fob on older lariat's by pressing the unlock button, releasing, and then holding it down again. I tried that with this truck and it doesn't seem to work. Has anyone gotten that to work on the 25's?

🤔 It may be a feature that you can turn on and off through the settings on the truck.
Have you checked your owner's manual either paper copy or downloaded from Ford to your phone?
It was a nice feature on my Chevy Volt

If there’s not a “Windows” section in Sync 4 screen under “Settings” -> “Vehicle” then you will have to enable this feature via forscan.

Well, I do not see it as an option in the screens. Looks like I may need to do research on Forscan. My last truck didn't even have power windows, gotta get used to driving a computer!
I wonder what folks said when the model T got an electric starter.🤯

I have a XLT hybrid/AWD on order. I drive a 2002 Ford Ranger, and would really like to hear your thoughts/opinions about the tech shock going from a '97 to a '25.

Tech on the Maverick has had quite a bit of problems affecting reliability,, more with hybrid. 2024 model sales have been put on hold due to rear camera screen freezing. You might run over something. Also 2024 and older models, again mostly the hybrid, have issues keeping 12 volt battery charged. Ford has an SSM, stating that there will be a recall in the first quarter of 2025. Engineering is currently working on a fix for an INTERMITTENT BATTERY DRAW while off. I hope they figured that out for the 2025 models before they released them. Sorry not trying to be negative. I like this mini.

"It's about *^(*#@) time!"

Cadillac introduced it as an option on 1912 models, becoming standard equipment once production was high enough.

It quickly spread to most brands.

Ford didn't introduce it until the 1919 model year!

Well, did a 3 hour drive today. Now my ranger was pretty much a beater (stick shift, manual windows, broken heater, broken A/C, and more), so this was a night and day difference. Much more comfortable! As far as tech, the adaptive cruise control was really nice, but I did have to turn off predictive speed control. There were a couple spots that the speed limit went from 65 to 45, so the truck hit the brakes, but traffic did not slow down. The heated seats and steering wheel were REALLY nice, and the sound system was amazing.

One fault was the stated MPG. I topped off the truck at 170 miles because I knew gas would be more expensive when I got to the coast. The truck said I was getting 30mpg, which was disappointing. When I topped it off, I manually calculated the mileage and was getting a bit over 38mpg!
