I just traded in my 2022 XLT for a 2025 XLT. I was pleasantly surprised with the pushbutton start... then mildly annoyed that I had to keep my fob in my pocket while driving (I know...first world problems here). Not to mention the muscle memory when getting out of the truck now....

So my question is, has anyone made (3-D printed) something that integrates into the Maverick's interior for the key fob yet? I've seen the generic Amazon stick-up ones. But I was hoping for something to fit into that weird little pocket behind the cupholders or somewhere else.

Has anyone else found a better spot to store the key fob?

I guess with my relaxed fit jeans I don't much think about it.

@Lane - here's an improvement you can add to your accidental lock preventer.

Just a fob holder on the end of the lever lockout.

When you open your door - there's the fob to grab.

And if you actually missed grabbing the fob, and lock the door despite the lockout preventer - then you deserve to be able to stare thru the window right down at your fob sitting there inches from the glass!

If I had that issue, I'd train myself to keep it in my pocket. Or if people here are anti-pocket for some reason, how about a keychain attached to it with a belt clip on it so you can clip it on your belt or waist of your pants? Or a carabiner, or some such? Seems like this problem already has a lot of options.

Me, I bought an XL for the convenient feature it has where a key sticks out of the fob, and then you can slide the key in a slot in the side of the steering column. Keeps it handy and within reach, and it will ALWAYS be there when I'm done driving and exit the vehicle. 😁

Ya - but a custom build can have a custom charge!
At least 1 buyer.

Don't take the keyfob out, so you don't have to put it anywhere, just keep it in your pocket, like everyone says here.
The door will open as soon you touch the door handle, no need to open with the keyfob remotely.
