I just got my Lariat and was so disappointed to find that for almost $40K Apple Car Play only works with a wired connection. Did some googling and it looks like third party folks have figured it out.

yeah, there are plenty out there now. I was bummed that the Motorola MA1 sold out and now selling over MSRP (sounds familiar).

I would like to have both Android and CarPlay so I have this Ottocast in my cart waiting until my Maverick shipped to order, maybe a better version will come along.

I am waiting for the new version carlinkit 3.0, which support both wireless carplay and android auto. What's more, the price is about USD 100 and I feel it is acceptable.

I have the Motorola MA1 for my $90K ram. It works well. Of course the following year they implemented Wireless AA. Ram keeps the USB on even when the car is off so I still have to unplug it every time I plan to have the truck sit. Does the Maverick cut power to the USB?
