You make it sound so easy. You're right but add in 16 months of screwing around (for me) and you've got it.
Yea I know the wait sucks. But I would rather have this than a Kia soul.

If it’s a small dealer they won’t be getting many allocations in the first place. They definitely won’t be getting any hybrid stock orders. Best to just move on. Or call around the country looking for a hybrid someone didn’t want at a dealer.

My advice to you would be to start searching the net for an available Hybrid that has been declined or sold back to the dealer.

The likelihood of them getting your order placed and built in the next 18-24months is very unlikely.

Good luck.

Yeah, pretty much this. Searching for Hybrids that folks didn't pick up is your best shot

Igor you may want to check real world ecoboost fuel usage stats. It won't likely be 45mpg in town, but can be 39mpg on the highway if you keep the speed down. I think I am averaging 27-ish for around town, and peaked on highway at 39.1. I am right lane most of the time, and average 60+mph on a trip with minimal stops, so do the math.
Best bet is a big toss up. Sure, look for cancellations, and you have to be persistent, or let your dealer give you a MSRP-less a good chunk deal on an ecoboost.
I chose ecoboost because I do not like CVT transmissions one bit. Even the CVTe that the Mav has makes me wonder. Having electronics holding a motor in STALL, essentially, does not seem like a good idea. If not stalled, then it is running at some partial speed, not full as most electric motors are run. And, electronics to control a lot of amps??? the 8-speed is enough for me. Good luck.

Does the Maverick EcoBoost have VCT(Variable Cam Timing)? Does it have Cam phasers?

Asking you question to a search engine, the response:

EcoBoost ® EcoBoost engines combine three technologies—turbocharging, direct fuel injection and twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT)—for power and efficiency. *Disclosures Here's How it Works A lot goes into EcoBoost ® performance.
Direct from the horses mouth, if you please:

yea ain’t we all aware. But people who ordered 23xlt hybrids on opening day are getting theirs. So it can’t be just they fact that Covid destroyed the world’s infrastructure system.

oh wait it did
lgr2016, lgr2016, lgr2016 - I feel so bad for you. You have SO much to learn.

First thing there were thousands of roll over orders from 2022 orders before the "ordered 23xlt hybrids on opening day" folks.

Second - there is no way to understand the process in which Ford decides to build trucks - one would think it is the first ordered would be the first built - nope- for example people that ordered on the LAST day order banks were opened may get their truck before someone that ordered in 2022.

Third , Please dont blame this on Covid - this is supply and demand after this length of time. Ford claims this truck is STANDARD as a hybrid however then they say uhhh..... we are only going to build 35% of the trucks as hybrids even tho 75% of the ordered were for hybrids. If you do the math you will realize there are many MANY people that ordered a hybrid in 23 that will not get a truck. I have 2 on order - orders placed on the first day and I would be surprised if either are delivered this year as I ordered XL models for my business which XLs are constrained because .... well because Ford doesn't make as much money on those. Now with all these issues from Ford as far as taking so many orders and not being able to produce that many .......

The dealer you went to neglected to place an order for you...... ouch. Im sorry. If you dealer is not a scumbag ( what are the chances of that ?? ) they possibly will offer you the first refused order they receive and not try and mark it up 5K to 7K otherwise like the soup Nazi would say - No truck for you ..... :)

So when I placed my 23 order, my dealer made a screw up and clicked save instead of submit. After going back and forth they have transferred my order to a dealer allocation if I am understanding them correctly.
This explains why when I call ford they can not find my order.

With that being said, what does this mean for me, does this move me way down in the scheduling because it is listed as a “dealer order”?

Advice is appreciated

Btw, this also means until I get a vin, I will have to keep calling my dealer for updates because ford will most likely email the dealer with updates instead of me
Sorry to hear that.

Sounds like your dealer will try submitting a stock order for you instead. So far, Maverick scheduling has mostly been retail orders only.

If it is a hybrid, there is honestly little chance a hybrid stock order will schedule. If it is an EB and your dealer has more allocation than retail orders, it is possible. If it is scheduled, it will likely be late in the production cycle.
