I've seen referrals about system resets done after replacing tires or the battery. What is it and how is it done? 2023 hybrid xlt.

For battery yes it's in your manual under maintenance - Battery.

BS Reset. (confirm even a new battery is fully charged)

Then BMS Relearn.

Nothing on tires - unless you are talking about TPMS.
In which case there is a difference between new wheels, or merely new tires.
New wheels - did they keep the sensors from the old?
New tires - nothing to do but drive.

Love to see the referral to a tire reset otherwise.

Here ya go Ernie,
I hope this is the answer to your question. At least about the battery.
I believe it is the "BSR" Battery Sensor Reset as outlined in the manual, after replacing the 12 volt battery.

Ok, I’m old and have a hybrid. How do you turn the ignition on but don’t start the motor?

With push button start, you push the start button without depressing the brake pedal. That puts it in accessory mode. 👍🏻

For the tires/TPMS, they only need a reset/re-learn if they have been replaced or were installed in a different position than when they came off the truck (i.e. tire rotation). A competent tire shop should do the re-learn for you though.

Sorry, but this isn't true. In previous threads on TPMS, the MTC consensus is always that the system figures out where each tire is positioned after a rotation, once you drive a little.

Personally, I have rotated my own tires at least twice and have never had to reset/relearn anything. Even my 10-year-old Acura behaved the same way.

Correct. You can do it manually too. Easy to do.

For TPM even the after market ones from Tire Rack work. Nothing needed to do. I have them on my snow wheel/tires.
