I hit a deer head on in my 2016 Ford escape (it was new) and I had a lot more damage. My mom’s 1998 Explorer could take a worse impact. My son was recently sideswiped in it, and outside of some minor damage to the rear passenger door, the only real damage was a broken mirror. They don’t make them like they used to! I am almost paranoid about fender benders with my Maverick. I would have wanted to see if a brush guard would have made a difference, especially in my case with the
deer (remember that the Escape is similar to the Maverick). I saw a post that one guy got rear ended but his hitched bully bar prevented a lot of damage. Does anyone have experience with front brush guards?
