Remove trailer hitch

I’ve got a ‘25 Lobo and I’m thinking it would look so much better with out the hitch and has a smooth bumper. I just don’t see myself ever using this thing to pull any kind of trailer. Ideas??

I'm guessing you could easily get someone to swap their non-hitch bar with yours, they both mount the same.

Norm,
In order for the hitch to be removed.
You have to remove the bumper.
Once the hitch is removed, pictured on the left. The OEM hitch HAS the crash bar incorporated into it.
You have to purchase a crash bar, pictured on the right and reinsert it into the frame mounting areas and then reattach the bumper.

The price for a replacement crash bar, even a used one is little high.
If you can't find someone to trade with. You can recoup some money by selling the hitch.

Removal of the hitch may affect resale or trade in a negative way.

That's a lot of work and some cost for aesthetics. But you do you.

I would pass, down the road you may need to pull a trailer. Like was already posted the work and money makes it impractical more importantly we don't have crystal balls. Usually a need to pull a trailer always seems to pop up down the road for you or a friend or relative.

I use a trailer quite a bit but that's me. If you get rid of it you lose that option or availability.

Im not in a Lobo and I know the bumper aesthetic is different but I just got a cool skull hitch cover to put in there. I like the aesthetic that cover brings.
