Was that a dealer add-on?

You should ask them about that, since the 24MY didn't have that as an option - unless it came with a Lux package.

Because it can be physically remote started just fine - proved by remote start through Fordpass app will work.

Just for kicks, make sure you press the door lock button first, before you try to remote start. For some reason, mine seems to want confirmation that the doors are locked first.

I have always pressed the 🔓 and then ((2x)) twice when using the remote to remote start, but your comment makes me wonder what happens with the doors left unlocked and a scheduled remote start programmed with the Ford App… 🤔

mine is a 2024 XLT Hybrid lux package
start worked with key in ignition with a 20-minute run , following that fob start worked pressing lock + x 2
I try not to use ford pass remote start because it has been known to drain the battery and have experienced dead battery at 5000 miles

Regarding Fordpass app so you have correct info.

Unless you removed fuse 11 - your truck every time you park - is reporting up to Ford servers some stats.
And it keeps the network connection up for potential remote access by pinging the network hourly. No data sent.

You using the app to talk to Ford's servers doesn't effect that at all. It's happening no matter what.
Unless you are looking constantly using app, and requesting an update of location each time.
Only if you perform an action requiring the truck to do something - lock/unlock doors, remote start - would the truck actually be involved - that's why there is a delay. App talks to Ford servers, servers talk to truck, action reported back to servers, back to your app.
You looking at the status does nothing with truck.

You got a dead battery for other reasons - unless you have terrible ATT service where truck is parked, and it kept getting into bad loop of trying to upload data on parking, and have now removed fuse 11.

If you have not - and still have Fordpass app installed - it IS a valid test of ability to remote start when it's cold. Because it uses most of the same system. Except the radio receiver for the fob. 1 test start is all.
That would narrow the issue down, in case you have to take it back in for troubleshooting, then they can focus on where likely issue is.

Interesting test, if it causes the same action.
