Hey guys

Just got my 23 Maverick home finally after waiting for a year. So when they rolled it over, I guess remote start and the bed liner wasn't included in the luxury package anymore 🙄 is it possible/easy to add factory remote start to my car? XLT EB LUX

PS sorry if this is the wrong sub topic

I like the remote start on the fob. I my opinion its sometimes cumbersome to deal with the app especially if you don’t have service

If you read the topic I posted in my reply its one I installed in 5-10 mins, no wire cutting, no permanent modification. It is VERY simple to do. Now I just press lock/unlock/lock and the truck starts and the HVAC/heated seats/heated steering wheel all adjust based on outside temperature.

According to Amazon, this doesn't fit the Maverick.
Not everything on the internet is correct. According to the manufacturer Start-X's website it does fit the Maverick. The manufacturer directs purchasers to Amazon. Plus @All4spl already successfully installed one of their remote starts he ordered from Amazon.

I think I’m just gonna go to security plus route that way I don’t have to have an extra fob and I can use the lock and unlock buttons to start the car and its factory backed as well Thank you everybody for your replies.

Uh what extra fob, my factory fobs are what the start-x module uses.

I just saw it on Amazon for $90 and I’m assuming that was your review with your truck because I see that the names are the same. I didn’t know that you could use the factory fob people in other places were saying that you would have an extra fob that’s why I was leaning towards the Ford security plus way, I have to look at the start x but also I have Ford points, so maybe if they let me buy the Ford security plus with my points I may go that route due to the fact they don’t have to put out extra cash

Just installed the Perimeter Plus on my Maverick. The hardest part was figuring where to mount it. I zip tied it to the bolts coming through the firewall. Open the box, take out contents, put in black jumper into the box, unhook cable from behind OBD port, plug in provided cable, plug cable into the Perimeter Plus, hook up LED if you ordered it and you are done. Five minutes and some contorting your body but easy. It was plug and play - to activate get in close door, turn key to run position allow everything to boot up, turn key off, you will hear the doors lock and the signal light indicators will flash a couple of times. You're good to go, get out and hit lock, unlock, and lock within five seconds and enjoy the vehicle coming to life.
Hardest part of the install is figuring out where to mount it I promise. From what I read it needs to be standing up if possible that is why I chose the two upper bolts coming through the firewall. I took two zip ties and put through the PP then took two and looped through those to secure around the bolts. It fit perfect between the two upper bolts and lays on the carpet padding/noise barrier that is right there. I just have to figure out what size drill bit it takes for the LED and figure out where to put it. But it works fine. I popped my door handle it set off the alarm, closed the tail gate it set off the alarm.
Edit - missed typing off in the last sentence
