remote start 2023 question

I went to put in my 2023 order for my leftover 2022 order today since I work right next to the Ford dealer. In the order guide it notes that on my XLT remote start is a stand alone option that I think was previously included on my lux package. Anyway, do I have to purchase this option to have that feature or can I just still remote start it through the ford pass app? I don't necessarily need the button on the key fob if thats all the option includes.

BTW, other than losing my bed liner and bed tie down rails that are also now stand alone options I really don't need (I'll just get Line-x later on) my order pretty much remained identical.

Incorrect. The app will still work. This is for the antenna and key fob.

gte105u is correct. Also, might want to look into the perimeter alarm system aftermarket. Very easy add. Only difference is you don't have the remote start button on the keychain - you just lock, unlock, lock instead. See

So the OEM factory key does not have to be reprogrammed? My installing the plug and play module it will auto enable?

I don't have one (or my truck) but from my research, no reprogramming is necessary.
