So the hybrid power meter doesn't have a redline like tradition tachometers do - I imagine that running it at 100% for long periods of time is bad, but is even getting it up near there bad? I'd assume no since there is no redline? The manual doesn't really have anything. Does the eCVT computer just not let it get to that point?

@GPSMan should chime in, but I believe it tops out at peak horsepower and won’t redline.

“[RPMS]….up near there bad?” Being a hybrid made for fuel efficiency, I think it’s obvious that it wasn’t designed to hammer out miles and miles at peak output limits; However, the ECVT will guide the RPMS into the appropriate transmission torque ratio. I would think it’s all computer controlled to limit damaging the truck but i’m sure with enough hammering, something will give.

You have relinquished control to the machine. What's next? Compulsory tracking?

It's not quite linear but it's close to a horsepower gauge. Probably why it's called a power meter and not a tachometer.

There's no way to go over redline. But yeah, at 100% you'd be close to touching redline.

No matter how hard you press the go pedal or how long you hold it there, it won't go past 5600 RPM.

Peak system torque electric plus gas is at around 20 mph.

I’ve hit some pretty fast speeds 80 plus and never seen it above 80 % and only then a short period fluctuating back and forth, slowly.
